 July 29, 2009 - Went to EAA Convention in Oshkosh, WI. Visited Zenith Aircraft tent and talked for several
minutes with Nicholas Heintz, Production Manager for Zenith Aircraft, and son of designer Chris Heintz.

 August 13, 2009 - Left & right flap skins, ribs and hinges. |
 August 13, 2009 - Inserted ribs in left flap. Drilled and clecoed end flanges.  August 14, 2009 - Used Visio drafting software to create 100% scale templates for cutting various fairlead parts from
the 1/8" nylon material furnished in kit. Printed each template on transparent 8-1/2" x 11" full-sheet
Avery label, then affixed to nylon material. Left room for saw cut.

 August 13, 2009 - Cut 25mm long slots in In-Board ribs for control arms. Cut matching slots in nylon fairlead material,
but made too long. Will make new parts.
 August 14, 2009 - Cut out and trimmed various fairlead parts. |
 August 16, 2009 - Left flap pilot-drilled, including hinge. Right flap is mirror image. |
 August 16, 2009 - Detail of hinge clecoed to bottom edge of flap. |
 August 22, 2009 - Found that after riveting trailing edge rivets on one side, the other side rivets would not fit.
Made attempt to rivet opposite side, but would not seat properly. Left remaining trailing edge rivets out until
determine fix.

 August 22, 2009 - Flaps riveted except for trailing edge and hinge lines. Will leave hinge only clecoed until final
assembly.
