be added per plans.

Sep 26, 2009 - Cut 1-1/2" holes in rear spar channels for aileron control rod.

Sep 26, 2009 - Cut to length and trimmed rear spar channel to 45 degrees per plans.

Oct 3, 2009 - Made and inserted "L" angle stiffeners for inboard ribs #1 thru #4, for each wing. These ribs
will become the "wing walk" area for entering and exiting the plane.

Oct 9, 2009 - Layout for fabrication of aileron bell crank support brackets.

Oct 9, 2009 - Cut trimmed and clecoed rear support channels for aileron bell cranks.

Oct 19, 2009 - Nose Ribs, left and right. Rear flanges notched & trimmed to fit main spar. Holes cut and grommets
inserted for fuel lines.

Oct 24, 2009 - Fabricated aileron bell crank support brackets (one pair shown) for left and right wings.

Oct 24, 2009 - Aileron bell crank mounted to support brackets with AN3-12A bolt. Aileron bell crank mounted to Rib #7
(with temporary clecoes).

Nov 5, 2009 - New heat vent (1 of 2) for electric heating system installed in my detached garage. This project has delayed
me from doing any major work during October. But, now I can work through the winter and try to meet my July 1, 2010
target date.

Nov 11, 2009 - Zenith Aircraft finally released information that modifications would be forthcoming to strengthen the wings
(which is a good thing). I guess it worked at that I have not done any more work on the wings than I have. Further work
on wings suspended until receiving upgrade kit (cost unknown). Word is the upgrade will be available "in
a couple of weeks". I'm not holding my breath.
